Massage Therapy
Massage specifically given to relax the body
and promote wellness, by means of moving
body fluids (such as lymph and blood),
nourishing cells,
removing wastes from cells, relaxing muscles
and diminishing any pain. Performed with
light non-invasive strokes and kneading
which produce a profound state of physical and emotional
relaxation in the client.
Voila! The way it's done in Russia - typical
maneuvers and massage techniques that are in
use today in Russia. Considered in the West
to be a mixture of therapeutic and sports
massage. This wonderful massage is based upon
five basic maneuvers: (1) light &/or deep
stroking (2) rubbing (3) pressing (4)
twisting motion (5) rhythmic percussions.
All these classical massage techniques will
leave your body feeling toned and energized
right down to your bones!
Reflexology involves pressing reflex areas (acupoints
or nerve endings) on the feet and hands that
correspond to organs and systems of the
body. Reflexology cleanses the mind and
body, relieves fatigue, revitalizes energy
and helps to promote well-being throughout
the entire body and all its operating
systems.
Champissage:
This age old system from India has been
used to improve one’s health by
stimulating the upper-back, arms,
shoulders, neck, face, head and scalp,
and is considered to be very beneficial
to the body's system. Like reflexology
that stimulates the nerve endings of the
feet, Indian scalp massage stimulates
the nerves from the head area. It will
soothe away stress and tension, leaving
you refreshed, relaxed and with a
renewed clarity of mind.
Dien Cham (facytherapy or facial
reflexology): Originated in China
and Japan, and was fully developed in
Vietnam, Dien Cham has its roots in a
technique developed by Professor Bui
Quoc Chau and team of doctors, research
scientists, and acupuncturists in Ho Chi
Minh City (modern name for Saigon),
which he named "facytherapy".
It's not the same as Chinese medicine's
facial acupuncture - it is a completely
original method, which uses over 500
points as opposed to only 30 in
acupuncture!
This method is presented here in
simplified form and consists in
stimulating the facial reflex points
with rounded end of a ballpoint pen
and/or colour therapy gem stones.
Problems with the back, joints, muscles,
hormonal upsets, skin problems, problems
of digestion, assimilation and
elimination, troubles with the nervous,
circulatory, respiratory systems can all
be alleviated using this method, leaving
you revitalized, refreshed and relaxed
at the same time.
Lymphatic Drainage
-
Therapeutic massage technique
intended to increase circulation and
help drain trapped water and toxins from
the body through the lymphatic system.
It uses delicate, wavelike movements on
the face and neck or entire body and
will help one to reduce swelling,
detoxify, regenerate tissue, relieve
pain and stress.
An energetic, fast-paced massage, which uses a
variety of maneuvers from different massage
techniques in order to tone the muscles of the
body, revitalize them, increase flexibility of the joints in preparation for an
upcoming athletic event; can be sport-specific.
Deep or light pressure applied to the
musculoskeletal system for the purpose
of muscle relaxation, myofascial
release, or increasing local blood and
lymph flow.
This massage uses a variety of techniques that
trigger release of tissue blockages (knots),
which ease muscle tension and reduce muscle
spasm and pain.
Performed with a focus on a particular body
area, which is termed the "problem area", (where
a particular discomfort is experienced), with
the goal to release the
discomfort and trigger the body's own healing
potential.
